“Great customer service”
My husband and I enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Himalaya, in part because of the keen customer service, and the willingness of all members of the staff to help us out with any request that we had. The free internet was a bonus., as well as the refills of filtered water for only 25 cents.

We can only praise the excellent service, help, and friendly management & staff for their commitment to the best interest of their guests. We received nothing but excellence with helping us to organise our trek, to ironing out some minor problems and for the warm and friendly atmosphere that made our stay memorable. If we go back to Nepal again we would have no hesitation in using this hotel as first choice and we will be recommending it to all our trekking friends.
Thanks.

“A tranquil, friendly hideaway in Thamel”
For travelers looking for a moderately priced hotel (around $50 for a double during high season, including breakfast) in the Thamel tourist district in Kathmandu, Holy Himalaya perfectly fits the bill. As you turn the corner off the main street and walk a short distance down a quiet street to the hotel's entrance, you instantly feel the quiet, calm atmosphere. From the moment you enter, we were welcomed by the friendly staff, who were consistently helpful during our stay. The lobby is nicely decorated with Nepali art and crafts, and the rooms are spacious and clean. While the hotel is centrally located, it adjoins some open space, so it was very quiet during the night, a rarity in Kathmandu. The hotel management is associated with Eco Trek International, one of the most respected tour operators in Nepal and so both cultural and trekking experiences can be arranged. All this, plus a delicious breakfast, cappuchino on their patio, a rooftop garden and free high speed internet.
